Thank you for your vote and support. I served as Chair of the State Ethics Commission from 2013-4. I won re-election to the Court of Appeals in 2014. My judicial philosophy is consistent with the mission & goals of North Carolina's Judicial Branch, which requires Judges: “To protect and preserve the rights and liberties of all the people, as guaranteed by the Constitutions and laws of the United States and North Carolina, by providing a fair, independent and accessible forum for the just, timely and economical resolution of their legal affairs.” The Constitution “says what it means and means what it says.” Fairness and Impartiality is expected of all Judges.

At a time like this, experience and a proven conservative voting record matters which is why Mark Brody is seeking re-election. He’s recognized as pro-life/pro-family with an  A+ rating by the NC Values Coalition. An NRA member and solid 2nd Amendment supporter, Mark votes for every bill defending gun rights in NC and maintains an “A” rating from the NRA. He lowered taxes, produced budget surpluses and received the Jobs Champion Award from the NC Chamber of Commerce. The last 2 1/2 years of dealing with this pandemic and the shift in education has opened my eyes to motivate me enough to want to be a part of the solution.

I do not believe the bureaucrats in Raleigh and D.C. should be making decisions for the citizens of Union County.

I want to be an advocate for the children and a voice for the teachers and parents in Union County, as we are all integral parts of the education system.

Kathy Heintel is a true fighter for UCPS. With liberal ideologies creeping into our education system, Kathy stands firm on keeping CRT out of the classroom. A supporter for personal freedom, she rallied against student vaccine mandates.
