Annual Precinct Meeting Thursday, Feb. 10

In accordance with the Union County Republican Party Plan of Organization, notice is hereby given that the Annual Precinct Meeting shall be held at the following location for all Precincts:

Date:                                           Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022         

Time:                                           Registration 6:30-7:00 pm

                                                     7:00 pm Precinct Meeting

Followed by Union GOP Monthly Meeting*

*Vote for new Vice Chairman

Location:                                     Sun Valley High School Cafeteria

                                                     5211 Old Charlotte Highway

                                                     Monroe, NC 28110  

If you or any potential Republican volunteer are unable to attend, you need to submit a Precinct Absentee form, available on our website, uniongop.com. Please download it or request a copy from [email protected]. The Absentee Form must be submitted to Chairman Powers by 5 pm on Feb. 10. You must be registered Republican by Jan. 31 to be part of the precinct organization. If you have any questions about the process or the Union GOP Organization, please feel free to contact me. This is our annual precinct meeting and it will be followed by a brief monthly meeting. In odd number years, we elect the precinct leadership such as the precinct chair, vice chair and secretary. In even number years like this year, we fill in empty spots, add precinct members at large and recruit volunteers. It's a great time to meet up with others in your area to be part of the team.  You must be a registered Republican in Union County by Jan 31, except that the January 31 requirement shall not apply to residents who have moved into the Precinct, or turned eighteen (18) years of age within 30 days of the Precinct Meeting.

You must sign in at the meeting on 2/10 from 6:30 pm to 7 Pm to be a delegate unless you have sent in the absentee form.
