Fact Checking Josh Stein re: President Trump and FEMA

Left-wing radical Gov. Josh Stein went on national television with Stephen Colbert to trash the Trump Administration this week, telling lies about the One, Big, Beautiful Bill and the handling of Hurricane Helene response in Western NC.

Lie #1: President Trump is getting rid of FEMA

Truth: President Trump's administration has made a priority of reforming FEMA following their disastrous response in Western NC. While our fellow North Carolinians came to rely on Samaritan's Purse and other private organizations, they were nowhere to be found and spent tens of millions on illegal immigrants. 

In addition, a FEMA review panel is working to evaluate how disaster relief efforts can be improved.

Lie #2: Hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians will lose health insurance

Truth: There are no Medicaid 'cuts' in the OBBB. In fact, the Bill restores the mission of Medicaid for those who need it, bans taxpayers funds for transgender surgeries, and institutes common sense work requirements for able-bodied individuals. 

Of course, going on the Colbert Late Night Show is certain a choice in the first place. The legacy media should be questioning his decision to attend in the first place.

"Gov. Stein should spend more time in North Carolina making state government work better and less time on junkets to hobnob with liberal so-called comedians in New York City,"said NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer.
