Notice to recommend nominee to fill the Board of Education Vacancy
The Union County Republican Party has been notified of an At- Large vacancy on the Union County Board of Education. Per NC Session Law 2017-63 “…The board shall consult the county executive committee of the appropriate political party before filling the vacancy and shall appoint the person recommended by the county executive committee of the political party of which the vacating member is registered, if that county executive committee makes a recommendation within 30 days of the occurrence of the vacancy.) Therefore, the Union County Republican Party is asking for registered Republicans of Union County, NC, interested in that position to submit their resume and bios to [email protected] by July 13th at midnight. The vacancy is a remainder term and expires in 2022. This matter will be voted on at a virtual meeting on July 16 at 7 pm by the credentialed members of the Union County GOP Executive Board.
The party will maintain a transparent and inclusive process following the State Plan of Organization, County Plan of Organization and North Carolina General Statutes.
