Thank you for voting and Sign pick up!

=> SIGNS-We have a week to pick up signs along the road. If you can safely bring in to the office whatever ones you see along the road. we would appreciate it. We will have the office staffed on Saturday, Nov. 12 10-4 pm and Sunday Nov. 13 2-6 pm to receive them.

Thank you, Union County for voting! We did our part in getting Ted Budd elected, Dan Bishop elected and our judges elected! We will now have a majority on the NC Supreme Court with a margin of one. Those are Judge Richard Dietz and Trey Allen. Our NC Appeals Court Judges candidates all won: Julee Flood, Chief Judge Donna Stroud, Judge John Tyson, and Judge Michael Stading.

Continuing down the voter guide-

On the NC General Assembly level, our incumbents Sen. Todd Johnson, and new to us this year, Sen Dave Craven, in the NC Senate, won. In the NC House, incumbents Rep. Mark Brody. Rep. David Willis and Rep. Dean Arp were all re-elected. Statewide, the NC Sen has 30 seats which gives us that supermajority and 71 in the NC House, which is, sadly, one short of the supermajority there.

Judge Matt Smith and District Attorney Trey Robison were unopposed.
Our Red Wall of Commissioners won handily. Congrats to Brian Helms, Melissa Merrell and Stony Rushing!
For our Board of Education, we did well with At Large Rev. Jimmy Bention leading the charge. Congrats to Gary Sides, Sandra Greene, and Kathy Heintel. We did not win the majority  democrat area of District 1 but I am encouraged by Colleen Kamolnik's strong showing there.
The Clerk of Court race and Sheriff race were unopposed, so congratulations again to Wendy Maynard and  Eddie Cathay!
In the Soil and Water non-partisan race, Sam Harris and Wayne Moser both won.
